Hello everyone. So I have a question I just got off the birth control patch in December and I may have missed a week of my patch and I must have forgot since I been busy working. Well don't get the patches any more. & my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. My period should have come around the third week of Jan. 15th but instead on that day I had a brownish pink come out for the following 3 days. Have some syptoms like light cramping (somtimes & it doesn't last long) feeling tired, sometimes a little nausea, backaches frequently, lots of bloating, and I noticed my areolas getting larger yesterday if I am pregnant it would be four weeks (I keep track of everything on a calendar on my phone) I have taken 3 or 4 pregnancy test during those weeks but I read up on something it might not show positive cause its to early but today iI went to the bathroom and whiped bright red blooded then 30 min later it was dark brownish red & heavy, so maybe its my period or maybe something else. My boyfriend and I will be more than excited if there is a baby but I'm really confused on what's going on. If anyone heard about this happening please let me know (sorry for the long paragraph) :)

Anything can and does happen during pregnancy. It all depends on the person. Going by someone else's experience isn't reliable. So unless you just want to hear different pregnancy stories, it won't help you determine what's going on with you.

Pregnancy can only be diagnosed with a urine test, blood test, ultrasound in later pregnancy, or giving birth. There is no way to diagnose pregnancy by symptoms, as pregnancy symptoms are also symptoms of many other things.

The best time to test is 2 weeks after a missed period. If that test is negative, wait for you next period, and if missed, test again or get a blood test.
