    Mystery water leak.
Last week we noticed water puddling in our Master bedroom on the bamboo floor. We found out that it was coming from under the floor and it was completely soaked underneath. We shut the water off and then had a company come out that specializes in finding leaks and they said there were no leaks in the clean or dirty water. I pulled up the worst part of the flooring and dried it out. We have since turned the water back on and have not seen any more water on the floor in the MB. Now after almost a week I have found water in the living room on the floor and it is coming from under the laminate wood flooring just like in the MB. This area is adjacent to the kitchen. There is also water that is puddling on the kitchen floor next to a cabinet that is next to the sink. When I clean up the water, more pours our from under the cabinet.

I have no idea what is going on. Any ideas?

Where are you located? What are the weather conditions and what have they been lately. What is the terrain, flat, mountainous, rolling hills. Any surrounding ground levels above your home. What is the soil like in your area, sandy, clay, mixed, rocky?

Mystery leak [ 2 Answers ]

Hi, I have a water leak coming from somewhere in-or-around a toilet. It only leaks if the water supply is on. The water comes from the bottom, towards the back, where the (rear-discharge, by-the-way) drain is located. I've checked all fittings and gaskets that I know of. It appears, to me, that...
