    Basement drain
I replaced a previous owners basement drain with a schluder shower kit that comes with its own drain.I cut off the old drain replaced it with the schluder drain mortared into place and finished it off by tiling around the drain and shower base.Is there a step I missed because now it won't drain,I haven't tried to unplug it yet wondering if there was a step that I missed any help would be great.

More details please! Was this a floor drain in the basement? Explain how you cemented the shower drain into the floor drain. Every fixture that runs into a trap MUST have a vent. You might have dropped some mortar and blocked the drain line. Try snaking the trap and see if that doesn't help. What do you plan on doing about the main? Back to you, Tom
