    Priming a deep well pump
I had to replace my deep well pump. I have primed it about 12 x's. I fill the pump till overflow, replace the screw and plug in. The gauge doesn't fluctuate at all. It stays on zero. What is my next option?

If your losing prime the first thing I would be checking is the foot/check valve. Replace that valve and I think you be back in business. Let me know how you make out. Good luck, Tom

When you prime it, and the plug is out, does the water level stay full? Watch it a few minutes. If the FV is the problem, then the level will drop.
