    Mistaken identity
    Hi,
I have recently obtained a UAE residence visa.
I tried to open a bank account and was informed that my name figures in the Central Bank Blacklist.Hence the account cannot be opened.

This is quite shocking as I have never had any bank/loan creditcard relationship with any bank in the UAE.Therefore , there is no question of any credit/loan default.

My guess is that it is a case of a similar name appearing in the Blacklist Could anyone please advise on the procedure to rectify this issue?

    Thanks
    Ted

Ask the bank who manages the blacklist then contact them pleading your case.
