Should I wait to get pregnant after LSIL CIN1 result?
    Hi,
I have been diagnosed with LSIL CIN1 and tested positive for the HPV virus on my recent pap test. I have evidence of an epithelial (?) lesion. I am now on a waiting list for a colposcopy and possible biopsy. What are my chances that this will resolve itself without treatment, or am I likely to need treatment of some kind? My mum says they will almost definitely do the biospsy, seeing I have an LSIL lesion. What happens if it is a lesion, what are the chances that this will resolve itself without further treatment? I read that the chances of it turning out to be higher grade lesions that must have treatment are as high as 20%. Does this mean that it will most likely continue to be a problem throughout my life, as I have this HPV virus? I am only 34.

Also, we were going to get pregnant for the first time in the next few months (that was the plan, anyway). Should I wait until after the biopsy now, or should we get on with it in case this develops into something worse and we can't have kids later? Would appreciate your advice.
    Thank you.

You need to wait for a biopsy. All other questions need to be addressed with your doctor.
