Am I pregnant or is this a thyroid problem?
Dear doctor, I believe I am pregnant. I have been pregnant once before, but I miscarried early on. A week after I miscarried, I had unprotected sex where my husband came in me. A week later, I started to feel pregnant again. This continued until I was convinced that I was pregnant. I got my period 3 days late. It had a lot of clots and I thought I must have miscarried again... It didn't feel like a miscarriage but I thought for sure if I'm bleeding and losing clots, I must have miscarried. 3 days after my bleeding, I still felt pregnant.. My symptoms continued through the next month until I got my period again! It was the same, 3 days late and dark blood with clots. It lasted a day shorter than my last period. (My periods usually last 6 days. My first period was 5 and my second 4 days... The last day in both was mostly just little bits of blood in my discharge) I am now 2 weeks past my second period and I have all my pregnancy symptoms still. I should be. 10 weeks today, but during all this time, I have only had negative tests. My symptoms include: bloated tummy, nauseous, dizziness, increased vaginal discharge (I have barely ever had discharge, maybe one day in a normal cycle, but since I started feeling pregnant, I have had so much! My undies are always wet and a few times, I've had so much that it has run down my leg!) breast soreness and changes, my nipped are very dark and hard (I'm always nipping out) my hair has dried out, no matter what I do , and it's breaking off and falling out, my hips are wider (making my jeans a litte snug) icreased sense of smell and saliva (I keep on drooling!) increased acne and in places I've never had it (arms and chest) I am so thirsty, I drink so much water, if I don't, my throat gets horse and I feel feverish, my vagina area is sensitive and a little swolen feeling, I'm hungry most of the time and other days everything just makes me nauseous, constipation and inconsistency, my stomach is getting harder every week, sensitive stomach, frequent urination ( sometimes every 10 minutes) I've lost weight on my body everywhere except my tummy and boobs, I've always had a flat tummy and it has a little chub on it (padding for a baby?) , I check my cervix and it feels slightly open with lips all the time, I have never thrown up though, I've never been muh of a puker though. I've read about these kinds of things happening to people. I am convinced I'm pregnant, my mother in law keeps trying to come up with other ideas for it. One of them is thyroid problems. Is it possible for me to have thyroid problems? Or do you think I'm pregnant?

What I may or may not think should be of no consequence to you. A lot of what you're feeling is what happens towards the end of the first trimester. Dark, hard, sore boobs happen when the embryo has implanted and known viable. The rest is just symptoms of your body adapting to what could be happening.

That being said, you've had a miscarriage and your body probably took a while to reset itself to normal. Which could explain your subsequent cycles. Though missing your period by two weeks is the most damning evidence of you being pregnant I read. I would go into your OB and get checked out, maybe get a blood test.

You could be pregnant, but it could be a number of other things. Your wonky periods after your miscarriage could be a result of the emotional stress of the miscarriage.
