    Loud running Cabrio Electric Dryer
I posted a question regarding this problem a week ago. I've only had this new dryer for a week and have already had two service visits on this problem. It was checked to make sure it was level and the vent was cleaned and made slightly larger. The first service man thought that was the problem, but there was no change. I have a third service call scheduled with an authorized Whirlpool service. I believe this is a bad unit and should be replaced. The dealer says I have to have 3 repair visits before they can request a replacement from Whirlpool. Has anyone had this problem with a Cabrio dryer?

If you had two service calls and are not satisfied just call a third time. They will either fix it or replace it just keep calling.

I've seen in the past in most cases involving high noise levels on new Dryers, where the motor itself was actually bad. Being new, It's one of the first obvious things I look for. Bet that's the problem. Also, The blower wheel was bad on one unit I serviced. Check that motor..

We just had a new Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer (electric) installed today. I dried some towels and noticed an unusually loud humming and vibrating sound. I wouldn't expect this from a product with a "very good" noise rating rated by consumer reports. It's much louder than my old 17 year old...

We purchased new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer & Dryer set from Sears. The washer has worked fine, but the dryer has not. The dryer was delivered and had a small dent on the front of the door. When we put clothes in the dryer and start it, the dryer is extremely loud. It sometimes has a piercing...

A sponge fell down the opening of the "lint catcher" while it was out because I was removing back up lint. While the lint catcher fits back in, I do not know if it is dangerous to leave the sponge down there, and if so, I do not know how to get it out--tried with a hanger but couldn't catch on to...

Loud Noise in American Standard Electric Heat [ 4 Answers ]

We bought our house over a year ago, and at that time everything was fine and passed all inspections. The whole house is electric and the heater and A/C are American Standard. Just this week, we hear a really loud sort of creaking or metallic sound throughout the air ducts when the unit turns on,...
