Hi Nanck and Welcome to The Plumbing Page at AMHD.com. You're responding to a 4 year old dead thread. So I gave you one of your own. Please check the date before you post. Thanks
What is the brand name of your kitchen faucet? Is it one or two handles? Did you removed the aerator from the spout? Did the water run with then aerator removed? Are both hot and cold water affected? Have you opened up the valve and remove the cartridge and then turn the water back on to check out the supplies? Back to you, Tom

    Hi Nanck

It sounds like you need to clean the aerator. At the end of the faucet spout... just unscrews to remove and then you can clear the screens and run water to check flow. After you confirm good water flow, re-install the aerator and see if that resolves the problem.

In extreme weather, you either install heat tape and insulation around the pipes exposed to the cold, OR you run the hot and cold water at a trickle overnight... ;)

Issue with "choppy" water in kitchen faucet [ 9 Answers ]

It's a single-handled faucet with the built-in sprayer. The issue I'm having is with the water flow. It seems to be very choppy, with a loud banging noise whenever I turn it on. The problem seems to be with the hoses underneath, but I have no idea how to fix them, or whether I need to do something...
