I have a Toro 2-stroke snowblower (5 years old) does not power up under load?
I removed the carb & cleaned it thoroughly. Under a load the engine bogs down. I experimented with the idle setting to see if that would make a difference... no such luck:( Any and all suggestions are welcome! Snow is on its way this weekend.

    Hi,
Well, the good news is that you know where the problem is. It is the carb. The bad news is it is not yet clean. You have also given the clue in that the low speed seems to do nothing. It should not do much since the EPA does not allow it to anymore. It is also the likely dirty circuit, if not the only one. It has the smallest fuel passages and is therefore the easiest to get dirty and the most reluctant to clean. Often engines with this problem will "hunt" which opens other fuel sources to allow running. Try a repeat cleaning with all pieces removed and beware of what may look like dry dinginess as that will affect the flow even if it does not totally disrupt it. Good luck.
    Peace,
    Clarke
