Ceiling fan light bulb access mystery
After much online research I believe my ceiling fan is a Casa Vieja Probe II. It was here when I moved in but there is no brand tag on it that I can find or any manual for it. The fan responds normally to the remote but the light has just quit working. I would like to access the light bulb to check it but am having problems with that. I read on another forum that I need to push up and turn the ring above the dome glass to the left but that seems a lot easier said than done. Unfortunately I am pretty weak as I have been having some serious health issues lately but it doesn't seem like that thing wants to turn. Is that actually the correct procedure?

Virtually every domed light I have worked on is a twist fit. Push up and turn the globe left. It should hit a stop and then come down. If there is no center bolt, it is a twist fit. Maybe a neighbor can help.
