    Ectopic pelvic kidney
I have an ectopic pelvic kidney which is smaller than the other one. It works about 30%. I am second time pregnant and encouraged to have VBAC. I had the first c-section due to the kidney. I live in a different country now and doctors here want VBAC. I have had some pain in the kidney throughout my first and second pregnancy and post pregnancy. CT did not show any abnormalities inside the kidney. I also have strep B and am penicillin resistant. Would you sway for VBAC or another c-section? The doctors here don't even know where my pelvic kidney is because they wrote in my papers it is in the right place but actually I have a left pelvic kidney.

I think this is far out of the range of any online advice (although there is an OB GYN nurse here often).
I personally would weigh the trust I had in my first doctor vs this one(s). A lot might depend on the country you were in and the one you are in now, and the general caliber of the health care you see all around you. I might even put in a call to my first doctor.
How long ago was the previous birth?
When did you get strep B?

Strep B is a common bacteria found in the vaginal canal and is of no concern unless you will be delivering vaginally. At that time you will receive IV antibiotics during the labor.

As far as the VBAC, I don't recommend it due to the very real threat of uterine rupture during labor. This is life threatening to both mom and baby.

Yes, but uterine rupture is very rare isn't?
    C-section 3 years ago. I don't know when I got Strep B.

No, uterine rupture is not that rare. That is the main reason most doctors do not do VBAC and most hospitals won't allow it.

When you got Strep B is irrelevant as it causes no problems unless you are going to deliver vaginally. Many women who have never had children have this all their lives. It's normal flora of the vagina for some women. I

Yes I know about Strep B very well. What I was more concerned about and did not make it clear was the fact I am penicillin resistant when it comes to many bacteria and was worried if I had VBAC they would foolishly administer penicillin before delivery rather than a different antibiotics. I have had experience where babies died during delivery or shortly beforehand due to getting infected with Strep B. Is this US site by the way?
    Thanks
