Ok. So I'm sorry if there are typos in this.

I've been dating this boy at my school for 5 weeks - ish and our school is pretty revolved around emailing during class and stuff. So anyway, he always sends me cute stuff like 'I need you, I miss you, I love you'. BTW, were 13 and 14. He tells me daily that he loves me and he hangs out with me and my friends during lunch time. Is this weird?

Not weird, just a little too much, too fast. It's not real love, but that's OK as long as you realize that it's really just infatuation. Don't let your classes suffer from texting. A lot of schools take away phones during the school day. Before you know it you are a graduating senior with no career, no way to get into college, no future.

Trying to have a one on one relationship that young is not only very difficult, and usually leads to heartbreak very quickly, it's not good for all your friendships. Friends are the ones who are there for you at all times, so don't lose them!

Tell him you're not ready for such an intense relationship. And that he's nice and very likable but that you aren't in love with him, sorry. Ask him if this is too painful for him... You may have to cool it. You may even have to cut him off completely, for his own sake.

OK then just be careful about too much intensity.

It's hard to explain to a teen all that can go wrong (without spending a week on it), so mostly we all live and learn.

Try to understand (for one thing) that he is probably going through a huge increase in testosterone, which means he thinks about sex constantly. For thousands of years, kids your age were already adults. The boys were off on the hunt with the men, and the girls were starting to have babies, and life spans were half what they are now. But hormones haven't changed.

Its not weird, but must be the first time you have dealt with this love thing with a boy. At your age its important to have other friends and activities and not crowd each other by just hanging out together all the time. Or texting all the time. It can get overwhelming, too much sometimes.

Same goes for him.

It isn't weird but typical behavior for your age group. Just don't take it seriously and get carried away. It's not love, it's crush and hormones. Keep it light and simple, hang out with other people don't get wrapped up in each other. At your age, that would be uncool
