One of my friends is grounded for no reason. Her parents won't believe the truth! She's grounded from everything! No TV, computer, phone, etc. So basically what happened is she has an 8 year old younger brother (shes 15) and apparently he brings his iPod to school each day but last week when he brought it he lost it himself then he tells his parents and blames and lies that my friend (his older sister) that she broke it and even lied to them saying his sister threatened to KILL him if he gets a new one. And the sad thing is, his parents believe him. Who would believe such a silly lie??

Even when she tried telling them the truth her parents still won't believe her. So now, she gets grounded horribly and is grounded for the rest of the year! Now, all she is allowed to do at home is sit or lie down on her bed with all her possessions taken away including her blanket and her pillow, I mean really?! Now she doesn't even have a pillow and blanket to sleep.

Also when she is doing her homework her mom has to SIT right next to her watching her to make sure she doesn't do anything else. Same for when she reads a book. That's all she's allowed to do for the rest of the year, sit on the bed, read, do homework. And with no privacy. She even told me that as part of her punishment she will not be allowed to help decorate the Christmas tree this year, not have cookies, no presents (because her parents say she was a bad kid this year and no presents from Santa even though we don't believe in Santa anymore), no celebrations, no nothing. Being grounded for a month, she even said she now wants to just be in school for the next month because of what's going on to her at home. And worst of all, her parents the next day WENT to school with her, went inside the building and even TOLD her teacher about it! The teacher won't believe her either!

Now my best friend is grounded in a horrible way for absolutely no reason. We won't be celebrating Christmas together as we do every year. I don't have anyone to sing Christmas carols with or to bake cookies with. Does anyone know what to do and make her parents realize what her brother said was completely a lie?

There isn't anything you are anyone can do. If the situation with her brother was so silly, why did the teacher believe it?
All you know is what she has told you. The month will be over before you know it.
