    Commuting
I work for a contract house on the east coast. My contract is with a Minnesota company 210 miles from my home in another part of Minnesota. I am under a contract which states I will travel 75+% of the time, to remote sites. When I am not travelling to remote sites I work out of the Minnesota facility.
When I am working in the Minnesota facility, I drive the 210 miles at the beginning of the week, stay in a hotel and drive home at the end of the week.
Are any of these travel/lodging expenses deductible on taxes?
    Thank you.

The mileage to travel to the remote sites can be deducted, presumably on Schedule C if you are paid under Form 1099-MISC as an independent contractor.

If you work LESS than one year at this job, it meets the IRS criteria for being a "temporary" job, which means both the 210 miles AND the hotel costs are deductible on Schedule C.

If you are paid under W-2, you have to itemize to deduct the costs noted above on Form 2106.
