    8 weeks pregnant and experiencing bleeding
    This is my first pregnancy, I am almost 8 weeks period. I have been experiencing some bleeding for the last two days, it is heavier than spotting, but not as heavy as a menstrual cycle. I have had some cramping and pain in my lower back, not as painful as my regular cycle. But I am concerned. I know some bleeding is normal. I took the day off work today to try and rest. I don't have a doctor or midwife yet. Is there anything I could or should be doing to prevent a miscarriage?

    If you're going to miscarry at this point in the pregnancy there isn't much you can do about it. I would go to your doctor/walk in clinic and see what you can do. They might schedule you for an ultrasound and check to make sure everything is good.
