    nausea for a week
I've been throwng up from the flu for about a week now with a lot of dry heaving. Last time I threw up about an hour ago and it contains a lot of flooding the end wondering if this is a normal symptoms for some that's been thrown up probably 10 times or if I should seek medical help.

    A lot of flooding?

Throwing up, while is symptomatic of the flu, is something that should be treated. While I don't often recommend someone with the flu to go into a clinic or hospital, it might be time to look ath that to get some relief and to be able to get fluids et al. back into your system.

I called the clinic and they mentioned an esophageal ulcer was probably. I looked it up and it makes sense because I'm a heavy alcohol used (whisky) and Alcohol use is the main reason for those. Will I get sicker or just discolored still for a little while? The flood in was maybe a little less than a half a cup. It came the too bright red by itself so its scary.

Blood, and bleeding. Makes much more sense.

Bright blood means active bleeding. Not old, but meaning you are actively bleeding into your stomach. This is not a good thing. This is, in point of fact, a very BAD thing. Have you thought of slowing down your drinking to allow your ulcer to heal?

It will probably pass. You will see the blood in your stool. It might not pass if you have an active ulcer though. Eat plenty of red meat, you're losing blood.
