    In TENN it's usually 30 days from receipt. However, this can vary from one jurisdiction to another. An attorney is in his best interests in a criminal case such as this.

    My husband don't have one, he feels he can represent himself..
    If he's charged with a felony, the state will GIVE him a lawyer for FREE. If he's only facing misdemeanor charges, he's better off negotiating a deal, cause he'll NEVER learn how to be a lawyer on the internet.
