    4 weeks pregnant, can I surf?
    Hi - I just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant. I am an avid surfer. Can I still surf?

    Congratulations on the babe! Yes, you can still surf if it's been a part of your normal activity or routine. Same as those of us that ride horses... I still rode. It's not a good time to take up a "new" sport, but staying with what your body is accustomed to is fine. Do be careful though~It could be risky (like if you wipe out) and I surely wouldn't be doing it with a 'big' baby belly. Talk with your OB about it. Good luck to you!     What you want to avoid is trauma to your belly. If you're pregnant and riding a horse and get kicked off, you might injure your belly. Same thing with wiping out when pregnant. You need to be careful, and if you have concerns talk to your doctor.
