    how to wire a suppressor on a candy cc217 tumble dryer it will have 2 blue and 2 brown wires

    Sounds like the brown is line, blue is neutral. Try wiring in series first, Blue and brown in and blue and brown out, then try across the power, schematic and understanding this suppressor will keep you safe.
    You may find a diagram inside the compartment.
    Likely a capacitor or Varistor, gas or some other common method of protection.
    Does it have a metal case?
