    I'm about to be caught stealing $7000 worth of stuff from my work. I've never been in trouble with the law before. So what am I looking at for jail or whatever when the time comes?

    You're probably looking at a felony....you should be considering hiring a lawyer.

    Depends on the judge and your lawyer, which you should hire asap.

    This is more than petty theft, you're looking at jail time, unless you get a lenient judge.
