    Condenser fan motor running backwards
    Last week I found my a/c fan motor sucking aid downward and I hour later I went back and checked it and the fan stop running and compressor was humming so I shut off outside unit by pulling fuse block! Well recently I changed the compassitor , fan motor & fan blade well I bought replacement motor from I DEAL APPLIANCE and they said the replacement motor is a three speed 1.6hp motor so did I hook it up wrong by following the schematics on back panel please reply.

    I've never seen a 3 speed condenser fan motor. Most motors are electrically reversible, usually with two wires which plug together.
