Sink and washing machine backing up
I have standing water in my kitchen sink and the washing machine drain pipe. If I plunge the sink, the washing machine drain pipe water level rises. All bathrooms sinks, showers and toilets are fine. I used a 50 ft snake in the washing machine drain pipe. The whole thing went in and nothing happened. Still clogged. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

You may have gone up the vent. Try from the p trap at the sink.

It went down. The washing machine drain goes out the house and meets with the vent just on the other side of the wall. I removed the vent pipe and inserted the 50 ft snake.
I will Also try at the sink.

City sewer. I also inserted the snake through the kitchen sink this morning and all 50 ft went in. I'm trying to solve the problem myself to save sone money, but I might need to call a professional. I also smell a bit of sewer outside. I could be just pay logical. Any more suggestions? Thank you so much.

That's the weird part. I did snake the vent as well. Any other holes I should check?
