Hi All,

I am loganathan .Myself and my father are trying for french nationality through my grandfather who served for french army in the second world war .

Here is my doubt .I approached a french lawyer .He told he will be fetching the nationality for us if we are able to produce my grandfather's immatricualtion document .He added since my grandfather born in british India in 1911 he might have done immatriculation .My father also told he too saw the immatriculation document but he lost it in an accident .Please guide me what is immatriculation and where can I get the copy
