    Compound miter saw short?
    Compound miter saw would not turn off when handle released. Tripped circuit breaker. Circuit breaker wouldn't stay on until saw unplugged. Burning odor.

    You obviously have a bad saw. Could be a brush short too.

    Sounds like a short to me.

    Sounds like a short to me also, and a burned up switch due to the short.
