    Why won't he marry me after 25 years?
    I love him unconditionally. We have a child together. I just want to get married while my dad is still alive.

    Quite frankly it goes by the old saying. Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free.

    After this long it doesn't seem important to him to be married to you.

    Why mess up what works? I am sure your dad understands things after 25 years together. Talk to him though.
