    Bathtub Refinishing Kit
I have a cast iron bathtub wonder if I should purchase an epoxy refinishing kit from Home depot and spray it or should I just purchase a new one.. Does anyone has experience with the refinishing kit. Does it last ? Thanks

I have seen good and bad results from DIY refinishing, mostly from poor preparation. Admittedly cheaper. Cast iron tubs are a killer to remove because of weight. Do you have the space to fit in another tub? What about the walls? Professional refinishers have acids and special prep tools.

Had mine tub done 9 years ago and still looking good. A lot cheaper and cleaner then replacing tub. Only lost use for 24 hours. You will not be able to replace tub in that amount of time.
