This is happening in BOTH hands?
Often pain/tingling/burning/numbness in one hand is related to how you use that hand, and often that is from constant use of a computer mouse. Two hands can be the same, but from lots of typing. It can be from sports. It can be from carrying an infant around the house.
You may find that a doctor will adopt a wait and see attitude if something evident isn't apparent on examination, like carpal tunnel or a wrist ganglion, or something wrong with a neck vertebrae that is pinching nerves down both arms. You might want to consider asking for an initial free talk with a chiropractor if the doctor finds nothing.
