    Box size too small?
I have a box that looks like it may be too full.

    18 CuIn plastic box

    Qty (2) 14ga 3 wire plus ground
    (2) 14 ga 2 wire plus ground
    (2) 3 way switches

Am I OK, or should I wire differently

    Thanks in advance

18 Cu In plastic box can have 9 #14 wires, each using 2 CI, each device uses the space of 2 #14.

    (2) 14ga 3 wire = 6 - #14
    (2) 14 ga 2 wire = 4 - #14
    (1) Ground = 1 - #14
    (2) switches = 4 allow 2 #14 each
    Total 2 CI x 18 = 36 Cubic Inch box needed

With 2 devices needed in this box, and each using space of two wires, you can only fit 5-#14 wires along with the two switches.

Thanks TK, I knew it looked too full. I'll pull a switch out. That will eliminate 1/2 the wire
