About the US.-China Taxes Treaty for J-1 Professor
    Hello there,

If I teach in Ohio before the 3-year expiration, should I be subject to the state taxes and local taxes? Could you please tell me the reference for the state and local taxes according to my situation?

    Thank you very much!

I cannot cite Ohio law, but it is one of the states that does NOT honor any tax treaty.

For this reason, ANY income earned withiin Ohio IS subject to Ohio income taxes.
