[Leighpanarese]

I am going for an Ombré type look where the top of my hair is darker and sort of gradually fades to a blonde. I started with a dark brown with reddish tint and bleached just the ends which resulted in an orange/yellowish color.
I just dyed the roots to about halfway down my hair, combing it through to the ends, but not actually dying the ends, with a NN level 7 Medium Blonde. It turned out more or a Medium brownish but I expect some fading as my hair does not hold dark color very well. I also bought a Violet based level 8 Cool Blonde color for the tips, hoping that will get rid of the orangish yellow color that the bleaching caused. I plan to use that on mainly the ends, but want to pull some up into the middle to kind of blend the Light Brown/Dark Brown. My question is will the Violet based Cool Blonde get rid of the yellow and orange tones and what effect will the Violet based blonde have when combined with the NN Dark Blonde /Light Brown? I am using a 20 volume developer if that matters. Thanks!
