Normally I get my period on the 12th of every month, but last month it came on the 24th and it was really heavy. I figured it was because I had just stopped my birth control. But I normally get it the morning of in my sleep. Well I didn't get it. And I figured maybe if I had sex it would help. So me and my boyfriend had sex and I spotted for a. Few seconds and then it stopped.

Having sex won't start your period.

You can't test before two weeks they have test that can tell you before your missed period.
I have a daughter and twins .I used the dollar pregnancy test and it still showed up a few days after my missed period .

Yes, you can test before two weeks, however, you increase the chance of a false negative. Rule of thumb is two weeks after a missed period for a more accurate result.

Most tests that early will always be negative and you will just have to test again and perhaps again latter, since a negative then means nothing.

But you are off your birth control, it will take one to two months for the periods to get back to a regular cycle.

Without using birth control it would be unusual to have period always on the 12th of a month, since it should be a number of days, and with some months having 28, some 31 coming the same day would be strange in and of itself.
