[Squeezy Girl]

I have this cat that is 5 years old and was recently spayed. Now she tends to "freak out". She gets mad at me, hisses, runs and hides. Its been happening about once every couple days since her surgery. She is a loving and trusting cat. She always follows me around and sleeps with me. Now she won't really come near me. My boyfriend goes over to his buddies quit frequently, and they have dogs. Maybe the smell of the animals on him, or maybe she feels that she can't trust me? I don't know, please help... I miss my baby girl. :(

It really sounds like the surgery and the experience were what freaked her out-cats are such routine oriented creatures and to be 5 when she gets spayed is a big deal. She could still be experiencing some mild discomfort and she will still have hormones surging through her for another week or so. Just be patient and gentle and you'll get your sweet cat back!
