    Misdemeanor in a different state
I have a friend who is on misdemeanor probation in Ohio and has a curfew violation so he has a warrant. We currently are in Indiana and I'm wondering if he will be able to obtain a state iD and get a job here? We have been told once he pays his fines off the warrant will be dropped. Is there any truth to this?

Warrants mean they want to arrest them. Indiana could stop them for anything and when they run warrants arrest and hold them.

I think that, in answer to OP's question, the friend could pay the fine and ask that the warrant be quashed. But I am wondering if leaving the state of Ohio isn't itself a violation of probation.
