    Portable generator problems
I have a porter cable 5500watt bs1550. It is 12 years old & has had some use. The other night we lost power. It started & ran fine until 3am when the generator stopped producing power but the engine was running fine. I noticed the circuit brakers were in there run position but would not reset. I let it coll off but after restarting the engine it would not produce any power. Please advise.

    Hi,
I found you a copy of the manual at:
    http://dl.owneriq.net/3/38d50f1c-db9...240d651cab.pdf
Which says faulty capacitor as a possible cause, and a place to buy it at:
