Hello I was wondering if you could help I have a friend living in ghana who needs to renew her american passport can you advise me how to go about this also she is looking to get a visa for 6 months so she can come and visit me in the uk can you let me know what information is required,would it also be possible for you to give me some idea of the cost for visa and passport as my friend has been quoted stupid prices in ghana.

You are being scammed... all they have to do is go to the American Consulate... its NOT that expensive... but then... this friend is a woman... you've never really met her... and you've been sending her money.

The pictures you have seen aren't her... and if you have spoken on the phone... she does that all day every day suckering other fools out of their money.

There are real females in any country you might live... but people fall for some fraud in another country all the time that takes them for all they are worth rather than find and date someone local to them that is actually real..

If she is really an American living in another country, she would know exactly how to renew her passport, it is done at the American embassy. They can not legally stay in Ghana without a valid passport. Also to be in Ghana they would now have to also have a Ghana visa to be in that country.

I am not sure if Ghana offers mail service to renew passport or not, ( many do) but they may have to merely travel to embassy to get it renewed.

With that said, this is a scam, in fact the most famous scam in all the world, The Ghana dating scam or the gold scam has beeen on major news, and major TV shows like Opah.

Also as an American, just to visit, they will not need a Visa
