    Voluntary repatriation?
Hello I was wondering if it is possible for someone with a final order of removal to return to their home country without having to pay for it. Is there a way to avoid facing a lengthy detention. Is there any program such as voluntary departure for someone who cannot afford a plane ticket?

    They can borrow the money...

Sorry, no sympathy here... they broke the law coming here... they should have kept enough money aside to leave. Otherwise Detention is a fair punishment before they are tossed out if we the legal citizens are going to be paying the bill.

Otherwise they can get money from family and friends to pay for it to leave sooner... where it won't cost the taxpayers another dime..
