    Virginia Renter Rights
    If my landlord has held my rent checks for 5 yrs , is it true that after 2 yrs I am no longer obligated to make good on these checks.. I'm in virginia

    Are you saying that you gave your landlord checks for the rent that he never cashed? Did you never follow up? Did he never cite your for being late?

    I would ask your bank how long the checks are good.
