Hot water everywhere in bathroom except shower
Both sinks in my bathroom and the tub have hot water, but I am getting no hot water in the shower although it seems as if I am getting the amount of water pressure I would get if the hot water were coming through... thank you in advance if someone can help...

It would help to know what type of faucet you have. Some shower faucets have a scald guard and have to be set to the temp that you want, Others have a temp control in them and will keep a preset temp, something could be wrong with this valve. But it could also be something so simple as a stopped up hot water port in the valve itself. To remedy this you would have to take the valve apart and flush out the lines. But be very careful for if this is the problem and you do wash out the blockage then you will have extremely hot water coming out before you can cut the water off.

Thank you... realized after post probably not enough info.. I have price pfister, single faucet... this is stand alone shower.. tub in bathroom works fine.. this was not a gradual occurrence... worked fine first shower yesterday, then no hot water second shower an hour later... I have taken off the handle, but can't seem to get the plate off... not sure what to do if I get the plate off but have been reading different posts and am wondering if this could be a mixer problem...
