    Outlet blew in garage.
I had an outlet in my garage blow. I have 2 other outlets in there and one is a gfi outlet.

I replaced the blown outlet but nothing is working. Gfi outlet has a yellow light on and will not reset. Garage doors are connected to the same circuit and still work.

    What to do next?

What does "I had an outlet in my garage blow" mean? Did it stop working? Did something short out? Did it explode?

If you have a GFI with an amber light and it will not reset it almost certainly means it is doing it's job and there is a problem downstream. Check every box that is on the same circuit.

If you replaced the receptacle and the GFI will still not reset then you still have a ground fault somewhere, or the shorting receptacle caused the GFI to fail.
