    Drug interactions
    My friend just had 19 teeth pulled, they gave him Augmentin 500mg tabs. The drugest said it might react with the Methotrexate 2.5mg he is taking for arthritis once a week,would it hurt to skip it for a week?

    These tw drugs combined can cause some very severe reactions when taken together. One of the severe reactions is Methotrexate toxicity.

    These reactions do not appear immediately, they are of slow onset and may not appear for several days to a week or more.

    Your friend will need to discuss the use or discontnuation with his arthritis doctor.
