Three year old really frightened! Please help!
Ok... I'll start from the beginning. My husband and I have lived in our house for nearly 15 years. It's a dog run log cabin that was built in 1841. It's a farm and we are the 3rd family to live here. I'm not sure about the first owners, but the man we purchased the farm from (deceased 2 years), was born here and lived here until he retired.
Over the years, my husband and I have both caught "someone moving" through the corner of our eyes. If we were watching a movie, we would both look in the same direction at the same time, but have never seen anything more than a movement. Locked doors inside the house and cabinets would be opened after my husband and I had been gone all day... Little things like this. No big deal. I've never felt threatened by this or have been afraid. It's actually become part of everyday life. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I remember waking up at night on two occasions where I felt like my bed was moving in an up and down wave like motion. I chalked it up to vivid pregnant woman dreams. Now we have 3 girls. They are 7,6 and 3. We've never mentioned any of this to them because kids have vivid imaginations and we didn't want them to be afraid because we were never afraid.
My youngest daughter is now in the same room I was in when I felt my bed move. This is a kid that loves her room, loves to sleep alone (barring any thunderstorms 😉). Twice in one week, she has been awakened by what she describes as her bed shaking up and down. This wakes her up. It was between 2 and 3am both times. She also claims that someone was singing "bad lullaby's" She refuses to go into her room even during the day. I don't know what to do. She's genuinely terrified. It does frighten me a bit, but I'd never tell her that. I told her her bed may be broken and she could sleep with me until we get it fixed. Tonight, when I laid down, she was asleep, but said "please don't move my bed". Where should I start? What should I do. Please get me on the right path here. I don't want my kid to be afraid to go to HER bed, but I need to know what the heck is going on in that bedroom.

Are there any factories or industrial buildings that could be causing the vibrations? Just an idea.

Very likely you could have a spirit in the home. It's not that uncommon at all.. but something I do take very seriously. I've been through what you are going through now, to a degree.

Spirits ate very patient and will wait years to begin to manifest their presence... and they will typically do so to young and susceptible people such as children. I believe these spirits are always demonic, and not anything to do with past human residences. Do you and your family belong to a church? Whether you do or not you need to look into having a spiritually mature Christian come and pray over the home and remove it (not bless it).

Hi. Thanks so much for your quick response. We live on a farm. We don't even have neighbors. We do belong to a church and my husband and I are calling our pastor today and going to meet with him. I sincerely appreciate you taking my question seriously. I do believe that things of these nature tend to feed on negative energy. If this were happening to my husband or eye, I feel we could handle it appropriately, but how do you get a three year old to handle the situation with anthing other than negativity? Hopefully, we can wrap this up quickly and not disrupt our kids' daily routine. I'm telling my daughter that her bed needs to be fixed. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Lol.

I did forget to mention one thing as this whole thing is so detailed. Both nights that my daughter felt her bed moving, I had a "strange feeling" the evening before. I never mentioned it to anyone because I don't know if it relates to this situation. At dusk, on both occasions, I had a sense of fear every time I opened a closed door. It wasn't impending doom or anything like that, but a sense that someone or something was behind the door. On both nights, I was looking for something. I was in buildings all over the farm. I've never felt this way and it went away as soon as I would enter a room or building. I blew it off at the time, but when it happened on the two nights that my daughter was awakened, I thought there might be some significance. Do you think there is?

First of all I want to say that I think the way you are handling this with your child is just perfect. Fear is not a burden little minds should have to bare.

Yes, I do think that what you described above is related to what may be happening in the home. I've had this feeling many times myself. You're right, it's not so much a sense of Doom... but you are very aware of something that doesn't feel right.
Being that you are a Christian household I recommend that you do not ignore this feeling, but confront it. If you are a born again believer then you have absolute authority over such a feeling/spirit.

You don't need a pastor, you just need to believe that the Spirit of God resides in you and has power over evil. Do not ignore this sensation... confront it. Tell it that it has no right to be there and that your home has been bought by the Blood of Jesus. Command it to leave in the name of Jesus. Simply do not accept it to be there.
