I really like my neighbor but she's 18 and I'm 13 and most of the questions here are saying that the girl is 13 so help please?

No, it doesn't matter who is 18 or 13, it is wrong. She has very little in common with you at your stages in life. She is in high school or college, you are in middle school or starting high school.

Sex would be completely out of the picture or she could be labeled a sex offender for the rest of her life.

Liking some one, as in FRIENDSHIP is fine, but anything romantic is vastly OFF LIMITS.

Sounds like typical teen hormones going overtime.

Would you think it appropriate for yourself to date a 7 year old? Hard to imagine dating someone that young right? A little eyebrow raising, startling thought to think of a 7 year old dating a 12 year old.

More likely the 12 year old would be babysitting the 7 year old. There is a huge difference in development, physically, emotionally, psychologically. It's just not ever going to happen for obvious reasons.

Just as obvious as an 18 year old dating a 13 year old, regardless which one is male and which one is female.

The age difference is a world apart. If you were both in your 20's, it would be a different story because both are adults.

And also to point out, that is why there are laws forbidding adults being involved with children in a 'dating relationship'. Children, of which you are one, have to be protected.

It is fine to have a crush, or to like them, but at this point, there is no dating that can happen.

Even if they like you as a friend, (maybe little brother) they will not see you as a boyfriend. They are just being polite or think it is cute, if they gave you any impression other wise.

Actually I can sort of see an 18 year old girl being somewhat intrigued by a 13 year old boy in rare cases, and there you are, next door. But at best it's novelty and feeling charmed by the crush, and at worst it's fantasies of finding out if you are a virgin and helping you lose it, and bragging to her gf's. Trouble with any dating and romance is that peer pressure (never mind flack from adults) will be enormous, and EVERYONE will rake both of you over the coals.

It's OK to let a little feeling out, such as 'I wish we were closer in age' or 'Too bad you don't have a younger sister just like you.'

Do you have any indication whatsoever that she does? I'm pretty sure you are fantasizing. I can't imagine a normal 18 yr old who would consider dating a 13 yr old. Whatever the genders. You are what is know as jail bait.
