I cannot understand a paragraph!
I cannot understand the meaning of this paragraph, so please could someone write it in a simpler way.
Hinduism has many varieties, but the goal of all of them is the experience of what we might call “the beyond within.” The West has focused most of its attention on conquering the world without by science and technology. But India has explored the seas and continents of the self with as much interest as we have directed toward the seas and continents without: a kind of spiritual technology for changing our consciousness and desires rather than changing the objects of consciousness and desire in the world, to create a Heaven in the soul rather than a Heaven on Earth. These spiritual technologies are called yogas, and the one most natural to the philosopher is jnana yoga, the yoga of thought.

I added explanations in brackets. I hope that helps your translation --
Hinduism [an Eastern religion] has many varieties [experiences or ways to understand the world and oneself], but the goal of all of them is the experience of what we might call “the beyond within.” [being able to look inside ourselves] The West has focused most of its attention on conquering the world without [looking outside oneself, not inside] by science and technology. But India has explored the seas and continents of the self [introspection, self-seeking, looking inside oneself] with as much interest as we [Westerners] have directed toward the seas and continents [outside in the world, looking outside ourselves] without: a kind of spiritual technology for changing our consciousness and desires [with no introspection, no self-seeking, no looking within ourselves] rather than changing the objects of consciousness and desire in the world, to create a Heaven in the soul rather than a Heaven on Earth. [Westerners have been interested in discovering and improving the physical, not the spiritual.] These [Hindu] spiritual technologies are called yogas, and the one most natural to the philosopher is jnana yoga, the yoga of thought. [self reflection, looking inside oneself]

You understand? Westerners explore the physical world (ocean, land, space), whereas Hindus (Easterners) explore the spiritual world inside themselves through meditation, contemplation, introspection.

I'm not surprised, because only eight million people in whole world speak Albanian language, and that's not much. But I suppose you have heard about our great writer Ismail Kadare, all his books originally are written in Albanian. Anyway I do not want to take your time, and will be my honor to send you tomorrow a copy of the book.
