    File Child Abandonment in GA
    OK I can find no information on exactly how to file abandonment for non support - everything I read says you can but where do you and where do you go to file? Can't even find a form on line - please help

    First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. To avoid confusion, I've move your post to its own thread.

    The original thread asked about Douglas County Georgia. Are you in that county or in Georgia at all? If you are, check with the county prosecutor or District attorney. In GA, Child Abandonment for non support is a criminal charge and would be prosecuted by the criminal justice system.

    If you are not in Georgia, then filing for abandonment is not what you want to do. If you have a court ordered award for support, then there should be a state agency to help enforce the order.
