I can't find the starter on my car and I think I need to replace it. Battery is good, When I turn the key, no noise from starter. Can only hear fuel pumping.Dash lights and radio come on. Tried jump start, same thing. Does this sound like the starter and where exactly is it located?

It's likely the battery is bad. Most auto parts stores will test and charge batteries for free. The fact that the lights and radio come on is not a good test for the condition of your battery. Starter motors draw much more amperage that dash lights and the radio. My bet is you need a new battery--the summer heat likely killed it. Have the auto parts store fully charge the new battery, prior to installation. Additionally, have them clean the battery terminals and cable connections.
