How to make dvd from home movies
I'm having problems making a DVD out of my camcorder or VCR through my computer. I tried using Pinnacle first. It captured the video through a movie box. Than you'll able to Edit the video putting menus and titles. Great. But after that everything goes crazy. It takes for ever to make a DVD. It starts rendering for hours, I usually do it at night so the next day is all completed. What a waste the next morning it crashes or it give some erroneous messages. My video are usually 1 1/2 hours long. With most software that’s to large for DVD. I use Nero and Roxio 7. It does not matter. I need help... I need a step by step explanation as to why can all this software compress it so it can fit. How do you do it. I have hundreds of home video's that I want to transfer. Tell me how do you do it.

If your using XP, try the Windows Movie Maker. You will probably need to cut your video into pieces and work on each piece. Then combine the pieces when you create the dvd image.
