He has primary physical custody with our oldest & joint legal custody & visitations with our 2 younger boys & I have the same but vice versa. I live and a different school district from when we were together & I hv to enroll them in the schools whr I live, so he is upset & want them to go to thr old school. We live about 10 minutes apart, the school last year is 15 minutes away compared to whr I live now which is less then 2 minutes & they also hv a class at this high school for high functioning kids with Autism and which one of our boys hv who is 15 years old who needs some assistant with daily living. How do I handle this situation because school starts n 3 weeks... Plz help me!!

Rarely do you find a kid that doesn't throw a fit about changing schools. They just have to learn to adapt and that is life. In time they will make new friends.

First, this is not a texting environment. We type in full words and sentences here.

Second, If you live in a school district then your children have to go to the schools in that district. Unless they are going to a private school (in which case as joint legal custodians you have to agree), then he has little choice in the matter.

The husband has an issue with it, not the kids.

If you and your husband have joint legal custody and cannot agree on which school the boys will attend, you should file an emergency (because of the short time frame) motion with the court. Let the judge decide.
