    Ceiling fan/light - adding dimmer/remote
I just put up a light/fan combo in our master bedroom. It's 14/2 wiring going to one light switch. The fan/light included a remote (which sucks). I previously had a dimmer light switch I had put in which had a great remote control.

Is it possible to put that dimmer switch/remote control back in place and just use it for the light? Then use the fan/light remote just for the fan.

Or should I run 14/3 wire to the switch and put in two switches there (one for fan and one for the light dimmer)

    Thanks
