Ceiling has 1 black hot wire 1 white neutral and 1 green ground wire. Hunter fan has 2 black wires 2 white wires 1 black an white wire and 1 green wire total of 6 . The installation manual is not clear. I wired 2 fans the same, 1 fan runs , no lights, the other has lights but no fan. What's up?
Called tech. Support, they said fans are wired incorrectly from factory,is this possible?

Anything is possible.
Most of the time ceiling fan/light have a black for the fan a blue (or a black with white strip) for the light and a white for neutral to both the fan and the lights. In your case I would guess that the black with white strip is for the fan and the two blacks are for the lights, assuming you have more than one light. In your case it really doesn't matter because you have only one hot in the ceiling and that is coming through the switch.

First do a voltage check between the ceiling hot (switch on) and the white neutral. This will eliminate the possibility of there being a problem in the house wiring.

Then connect all the blacks and the black with white strip together. Connect all whites together.

Switch must be on for either the fan or the lights to work.

Turn switch on and use the pull chains to turn the fan or the light on.

Do the voltage check and wire as described, insuring that you have good connections. If they do not function properly return as defective. This could be a factory defect but it is highly unlikely to get two that are defective.
